I was looking at my old posts yesterday and I realized that, I don't really wear my historical clothing  anymore. Now, before I started this blog, I would wear my historical costumes (1770s - 1900s) all the time! Now, I hardly wear them at all! So I thought, as it was historical costumes that got me into sewing, I should go back to what made me love sewing. =) So don't be surprised if you see me in, lets say, a regency gown sometime soon on the blog.

What are you all planning to do tonight, or tomorrow? Tonight is camp-out night in our house. Us kids all take turns sleeping in each others rooms, watch movies/old TV shows, eat popcorn (sometimes), and talk to all hours of the night. =) Sound fun? Gabrielle and I, along one of our other sisters are planning on finishing Young Victoria and maybe watch part of Anne of Green Gables (for next week's big event) or Emma (2009). That is, if our favorite baseball team isn't doing good tonight on TV, other wise we may just watch the game. =)

Today is day three of Natasha's Fashion Week! I'm wearing an old outfit today, one I have had for several years now. But, I still pull it out and wear it ever so often. =)

I won't be posting tomorrow, and maybe not on the 5th either. As we will be out of town for the 4th of July and my birthday. =) We will be coming back home on the 5th, but that being my birthday and all I may not have time to post.  I will still take outfit pictures but won't be able to post them until we get back.

And no, I haven't forgotten my promised 1940s skirt pictures. They are coming up next. =)

So today is Natasha's second day of her Modest Fashion Week. I did have a wonderful outfit for yesterday, but the pictures didn't turn out. Oh well, I will have to wear that outfit again sometime soon. Because it is a new combination and I love it! =)

The skirt I'm wearing today I just whipped up last night. I had this pair of Khaki pants that don't fit any of us. They are a little too tight for me. So I decided to turn them into a skirt.

Also don't be surprised if the blog look changes in the coming weeks. Yes, we are changing it once again. We decided to change it so it will match our etsy shop.  Besides, I love change! =)

~Ashley

p.s.

There should be a 1940s sewing post sometime latter today, or tomorrow. =) I can't wait to show you what I have been sewing! Also if you are waiting to see the 1950s PJ set, you will have to wait until next when it is the 1950s during the sewing through the decades challenge.

Well, today is the last day of Samantha's Modest Fashion Week. Wow has this week gone by fast! But, it has been lots of fun. Thanks for hosting this event, Samantha!

Now for some exciting news. Today I bought all the supplies I need to make my own bathing suit! How exciting is that?!?!?! I can not wait to start making it. I also bought fabric for a formal I need this Fall. Now I just need to decided on WHAT my formal is going to look like. AND if I am going to draft my own pattern, or use a ready-made pattern. Any ideas on what I could do for my formal? The color of my fabric is dark purple. And I'm open to any ideas, modern or vintage.

Well, tomorrow or Monday I'm going to have a surprise for you all on the blog. And no, it isn't the opening of my etsy shop. Still haven't figured out to do for shipping yet. That is the only thing holding me back for opening up my shop.

Below, I have some pictures that Gabrielle, took that I just have to share with you all. =) What can I say, I am a proud sister. =D
