It's Time for a Blog Party!

Hello everyone! Stella is having a huge blog party with tons of great prizes. 


1. If you had to choose between living on a desert island or tropical rainforest for the rest of your life, which would you choose? I would live on a desert island. :)

2. What is your favorite music CD right now?  Funnily two CD's I don't own. I just listen to the clips on Itunes, Amazon, and YouTube all the time. The Young Victoria Soundtrack & Singing In The Rain Soundtrack. 

3. If you were given the choice between wildflowers or roses - which would you pick? Wildflowers please. 

4. How much do you like notebooks? Is it mild, or are you absolutely obsessed with them? I'm obsessed. I have so many of them, that I don't know where to put them all. :)

5. What is your biggest goal this winter? To learn how to quilt. 

6. If you could change your hair however you wanted, what would you do? That it would look nice when it is long. And that the curl in my hair would be more curly. 

7. Do you think Harry Potter is bad? I've never read the books or seen the movies, and have no desire to. As they are about things that Christians should avoid. See this blog post by Mr. Phillips of Vision Forum. 

8. Why do you think pink is a girls' color? Did you know, that pink used to be a boys color and not a girl color. Like back in the 1700s. I don't know when the switch happened. Does anyone know? 

9. Would you be up to singing a solo in front of a thousand people? No, thank you. I would faint. I have sung with a large group of people in front of a whole bunch of people. But, never solo. 

10. What colors look best on you? Black, Burgundy, Navy Blue, Deep Rich Purple, Dark Brown, White. 

11. If you had a different name, what would it be? Emma Rose. As I just love that name! 

12. Do you like...

boots or sneakers? Boots. flats or heels? Heels. books or movies? Both. :) purple or pink? Purple. long hair or short hair? Both. a best friend or a group of friends? Group of friends. ice cream or cake? Ice cream. plaid or polka dots? Polka dots.

Umm, let me think here. Maybe a Strawberries & Creme Frapp. or Double Chocolaty Chip Frapp. from Starbucks.  Simply delicious.

 

2. If you could live in a Jane Austen novel, which book would you pick? What character would you be?

That's easy. My favorite Jane Austen is Emma.  I would be Emma, without a doubt. 

3. What is your theme song, that favorite song that absolutely matches you?

This is a hard one.  Well, perhaps "Sweet Days are Ahead " by Heather McCready. 

4. You are trapped on a deserted island. Your only supplies are the clothes you have on, and a box with five things in it. What are those five things?

1. Bible

2. Water

3. Bow & Arrow

4. Matches

5. Ax 

5. Chocolate or Caramel?

Chocolate hands down.

6. Vacation! If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Europe of course. =) 

7. If forced to do one of the two, which would you do: sky diving or scuba diving? Why?

Um, maybe scuba diving. Even though I don't know how to swim. =P AS falling out of the sky does not appeal to me. 

8. Favorite TV show, and why?

I will go with, lets see, Road to Avonlea. Why? It is Avonlea! Plus, it reminds me a lot of me and my family. Also the costuming is wonderful. 

9. Are you a coffee and donuts sorta lady, or a tea and scones type of gal?

Definitely tea and scones. Yum, English scones with clotted cream sound good right now. =) 

10.The time machine has finally been created, and you are the first to be able to use it! What era would you travel too?

The 1770s to see the birth of America. =) 

11. What is the last movie you watched?

It Happened One Night (1934). 

12. Ding-dong!!! Your favorite actor/singer/celebrity is at your front door!Who would it be?

OHH! Let's see here. Can it be a dead person? It would be e

ither, Errol Flynn, Ronald Reagan, or James Stewart. =) 

   

13. What was your absolute favorite toy as a baby?

I decided to change the question to favorite toy as a child. As I don't remember my favorite toy as a baby. =) It was my dolls, Sarah (later called Margaret)  and Samantha.  Sarah was a baby born doll. While, Samantha was the American girl doll Samantha. 

14. What types of blogs do your like best? (examples: DIY, cooking, journal, ect.)

I enjoy reading fashion and sewing blogs best.

15. What is your favorite Bible verse, your "life verse?"

1 Timothy 4:12 - "Let no man despise your youth; but be you an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."

It's Blog Parade Time!

Rebecca at Sewing in the Past is having a blog parade. And I decided to join in! I am to list ten things that make me happy. So without further ado, ten things that make me happy with a vintage twist (the images). =)

Things That Make Me Happy

 1. Going on vacations with my family across the country. 

2. Having camp-outs (slumber parties)  on the weekends with my brother and sisters. 

3. Listening to Old-Time Radio Shows on my ipod.

4. Doing too many sewing projects at one time. =)

5. Reading a good book that makes me stay up too late. ;-)

6. Eating ice-cream. Any flavor is fine, just about, but mint-chocolate chip is my favorite!

7. Finding wonderful findings at antique malls/stores.

8. Opening up presents and also giving presents to others. I have a hard time keeping presents a secret during Christmas time. I always want to tell everyone what I got them. :P

9. Receiving a new comment and follower on Bramblewood Fashion.

10. Having a tea party! The best part of a tea party? Dressing up of course! =)
